This section is dedicated mainly to people who own fur coats, leather jackets or any other products made of fur or leather.
We respectfully ask you to destroy these items if you own them. We will show you aspects of their manufacturing and the unimaginable cruelty fur wearing animals are subjected to in the process.
This cruelty and horror can cease only if people stop buying products made of fur and leather.
There is lots of information available on the internet regarding the cruelty of the fur industry. Here we offer you just a sample, hoping to get your attention on the subject. We also provide links to bigger charities that actively oppose this horrendous treatment of animals.
As it is, we are but a small animal welfare charity based in Arad, Romania. We do not yet have the necessary personnel to handle this issue. We are still working on our stray dogs and stray and feral cats problem.
We cannot stop this cruelty even on a national level in Romania, but we CAN "thing globally and act locally". We will do our best to make people in our community realize why they should SAY NO TO FUR!
Please contact us for any questions or comments you may have on this issue.
Real images. Dogs, cats, rabbits and other fur wearing animals are being hit repeatedly, stabbed, their feet are cut off and they are skinned alive:

In the video you can see the animal above being skinned alive and thrown onto a huge pile of carcases. He will lift his head in agony and look towards the video camera in despair. This is the true cost of a part of a fur coat. The fur of just one animal is not enough to make a fur coat. The smaller the animal is and the bigger the coat is, the more animals need to be tortured and skinned alive for just one coat.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
PETA in the US came into existence in 1980 in the United States and have more than 1,100,000 members and supporters, making it the largest animal rights organisation in the world.
PETA and PETA Europe are dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. Like us, animals are capable of suffering and have interests in leading their own lives; therefore, they are not ours to use – for food, clothing, entertainment, experimentation or for any other reason. PETA affiliates throughout the world educate policymakers and the public about cruelty to animals and promote an understanding of the right of all animals to be treated with respect.
PETA and PETA Europe work through public education, research, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement and protest campaigns.
Please visit their website and get the knowledge they offer.
