We also rescued 2 horses

June 6, 2009: Due to lack of funds we gave up the idea of opening a sanctuary for abandoned horses. Maybe someone will support this dream in the future.

October 18, 2008: Horsy and Amy arrived in Holland. Before leaving they were both healed, dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped. They left to Holland in the company of 3 other horses. Two from Buhusi and one from Bucharest.

The transport was sponsored by Mrs. Marja Keizer. We take this oportunity to thank her and all the other wonderful people involved in this event: Nathalie, who spent the last two months working hard to make this happen; Mrs. Nancy Janes (founder of Romania Animal Rescue, Inc.), who sent us the money to buy Horsy; Mrs. Betsy Rogers, who sent us the money to build the stable; Dr. Tanase, who sent us the vaccines for both Horsy and Amy, free of charge; he also took care of the legal aspects of sending all the horses to Holland, together with his daughter Ms. Andreea Tanase; Mrs. Maaike van Veenhuizen who adopted Amy; Mrs. Jaqueline who adopted Horsy; Ms. Lieke Geefshuysen and Ms. Carola Smidt who visited us, along with Mrs. Maaike van Veenhuizen, bringing us dry food for dogs and cats, vitamins for puppies and horse care products; Mr. Patrick Christian and Mr. Dennis Kuijpers, the "horse whisperers"/drivers who took the horses from Romania; Mrs. Alina Michaela; Mrs. Jane Sanderson; Mrs. Sue Lebou; Mrs. Laura Simms; We also thank our neighbours for their patience and understanding.

September 7, 2008: Horsy and Amy were adopted and will soon go to Holland.

September 3, 2008: This is the second horse we rescued. We named her Amy.

This is the very first horse we rescued (on August 22, 2008). We named her Horsy ... hi hi hi. We intend to create a safe heaven for the abused horses we can rescue. They will all remain in our care for the rest of their lives. We will only give them to specialized charities and sanctuaries if possible. Our main goal is to keep them away from further abuse.
